LATEST NEWS: Terry who was 'loved very much' named as victim of Stanningley Road crash
POLICE have issued an update following a fatal crash earlier this week.
Emergency services were called to Stanningley Road, close to the junction with Armley Ridge Road, Leeds, on Monday afternoon to reports a vehicle had been in collision with a bus stop.
A pedestrian, a 62-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene, while two other pedestrians were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The driver of the vehicle, a 57-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and driving whilst unfit through drugs and remained in custody yesterday.
In an update on Wednesday, West Yorkshire Police said the man had been bailed pending further enquiries.
A cordon remained in place throughout Tuesday while officers worked at the scene.
The road - which is a main route connecting Armley, Leeds and Bradford - reopened at around 3.20pm on Tuesday.
Officers have appealed to anyone who was in the area at the time, or may have dash cam footage of the incident, to come forward.
