ROAD and footpath closures have been announced for the Bradford district.
The orders, made by Bradford Council, are for the following areas:
* Whites View, Bradford, for telecommunication works to be carried out. The order will affect the length of Whites View from outside No.1 to its junction at Whetley Hill. Pedestrian access will be maintained but there will be no alternative routes for traffic.The order comes into effect at 8am on Monday, November 27 until 6pm on Thursday, November 30.
* Hawes Crescent, Bradford, for water works to be carried out. The order affects the area of Hawes Crescent from and to a point outside No. 24. Pedestrian access will be maintained but there will be no alternative routes for traffic. The order will remain in force until 6pm tomorrow.
* Cote Lane, Allerton, for gas works to be carried out. The order affects the length of Cote Lane from a point outside No.29 Cote Lane to a point outside the rear of No.74 Kildare Crescent.
Pedestrian access will be maintained and alternative traffic routes are available via Cote Lane (unaffected section), Hill Top Lane, Allerton Road and vice versa. The order will remain in force until 6pm on Friday, November 24.
* Footpath closure in Bradford city centre.
The order, which prohibits pedestrians, affects footpath No. 392 (Bradford South) from its junction with Hall Ings to the entrance of Bradford Interchange. There will be no alternative routes for pedestrians. The order will remain in force until 6pm on April 30, 2024.
* Bierley House Avenue, Bierley, for traffic management works to be carried out. The order will affect the length of Bierley House Avenue from its junction at Hambledon Avenue to its junction at Daffels Wood Close.
Pedestrian access will be maintained and alternative routes for vehicular traffic will be available via Bierley House Avenue (unaffected section), Armadale Avenue, Bierley Lane, Currer Avenue, Hambledon Avenue and vice versa.
The order will come into effect at 8am on Monday, November 27 and remain in force until 6pm on Tuesday, November 28.
* Also announced by Bradford Council is a premise licence application by Morad Omer for Jimmy’s on Great Horton Lane, Bradford, for the off sale of alcohol Monday to Sunday, 00.00 until 23.59. Objections should be made in writing no later than December 11 to: Licensing Team, Argus Chambers, Hall Ings, Bradford, BD1 1HX. The licensing register and record of application are available for inspection at the above office by appointment only.
