AN event offering hot food and drinks to the homeless or anyone hungry and in need is being held at Cafe West, Wanstead Crescent, Allerton, tomorrow (Sunday, November 19), between 6.30pm and 8.30pm.
The gesture is being made in memory of Tayyab Akram from the East Bowling area of the city who was hit by a van in Wakefield Road on October 13, 2021 and died of his injuries in hospital six days later.
Tayyab's family is marking what would have been Tayyab's 13th birthday on November 19 with the gesture of kindness to anyone who is in need.
The event is being organised in association with Bradford Community Kitchen and food bank which was co-founded by Abdul Satar, a close friend of Tayyab's family.
