A BRADFORD man has been convicted of criminal damage in a hotel at a motorway services.
Amaad Zahoor, 26, of Arneside Road, pleaded guilty to a charge of criminal damage to property valued under £5,000, at Leeds Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.
The 26-year-old was found to have damaged a hand sanitiser machine, a microwave, and a wall light - to the value of roughly £300 - at Days Inn Hotel, at Hartshead Moor Services on August 28 last year.
Zahoor also pleaded guilty failing to surrender to police/court bail at the appointed time.
The offences were committed while Zahoor was the subject of a community order for harassment - breach of a restraining order and possessing a controlled drug of Class B, issued by a court on February 12, 2021.
Those offences - which took place on February 10, 2021 - were resentenced at the same hearing this week.
Zahoor was sentenced to a 12-month community order, which includes up to 12 Rehabilitation Activity Requirement (RAR) days.
He was ordered to pay £399 in total, which included £200 in compensation, a surcharge of £114 to fund victim services, and £85 in costs.
