A BOOK containing the real-life stories of residents living near Attock Park is set to be launched.
Attock to Attock Park tells the stories of women’s first time travelling to England, Ramadan, Eid, food, weddings, and funerals.
They talk about racism and share humour and poetry.
Experiences range from rural life in the villages and towns in Pakistan and here in Bradford Moor.
The group facilitator, Nabeela Ahmed, supported the process and has produced this book.
The book launch of Attock to Attock Park will take place on Saturday, November 25, between 1pm and 3pm at Laisterdyke Library.
Guests will be able to hear the ladies read fascinating snippets from the book.
Books will be available to purchase for £4 each.
To register your attendance for the free event, email Nabeela Ahmed via creativewritingmanningham@gmail.com
The project was supported by Creative Place Makers, Bradford Moor Pass Team, The Leap, Bradford Council and Attock Park volunteers.
