A MAJOR Bradford road will remain closed until an inspection of a collapsed wall can be carried out.
Baildon Road, Baildon, was first closed from the A6038 Otley Road to Albert Street at around 5am on Tuesday (November 14).
The wall tumbled down during the windy weather caused by Storm Debi.
An orange barrier is separating the pile of bricks from the main road, while cones have been put in place where the road meets Otley Road.
The Council has now told the T&A that the "due to the state of the wall" it is "unsafe to reopen the road" until an inspection by a surveyor takes place.
A Bradford Council spokesperson, said: “The collapsed wall is privately owned and they and their insurance company will be responsible for any repair or remedial work needed.
"Work won’t be able to be undertaken until a surveyor from the owner’s insurance company has been able to inspect the wall.
"Unfortunately due to the state of the wall it will be unsafe for us to reopen to road until this has happened.
"We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates when needed.”
