A TRUCK burst into flames earlier this evening in an industrial estate near a retail park.

The Telegraph & Argus was sent video footage of a heavy goods vehicle engulfed in flames in Pheasant Drive, which is near the Birstall Shopping Park.

A member of the public said the blaze began at around 5.30pm.

The video shows the ferocious fire taking hold of the vehicle, before a loud "whoosh" noise can be heard.

Smoke billows into the dark night sky as one person nearby watches on, with another truck - showing its emergency lights - parked up further down the road.
