A SCHOOL has issued a statement after one of its sixth-form students was injured in an alleged assault.
West Yorkshire Police was called to reports of an assault on an 18-year-old in Rhodesway, in the Allerton area, at 1.34pm on Monday.
A spokesperson for the force said the teenager suffered a minor head injury. He was rushed to hospital but later discharged.
Dixons Allerton Academy, on Rhodesway, reportedly sent out a message to parents on Monday to alert them to the incident.
A spokesperson for Dixons Academies Trust - the academy chain that runs Dixons Allerton Academy, as well as nine other schools in Bradford - said: "The school has provided support for the student and will continue to do so."
Police said on Tuesday that an 18-year-old male and 16-year-old male had been arrested on suspicion of assault.
They were bailed pending further enquiries and Bradford CID is continuing to investigate the matter.
The force has launched an appeal for information as part of this.
