A BRADFORD man has been jailed for harassment and sending threats through Facebook messages and calls.

Mateusz Wota, 35, pleaded guilty to two charges at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates’ Court.

He admitted harassment without violence which took place between November and December 2020 at Festival Avenue in Shipley, which saw him send numerous unwanted Facebook messages, calls and picture messages.

He also pleaded guilty to sending messages and making telephone calls that were threatening over the same period.

Wota, of Norwood Street, was jailed for four weeks in total.

Court documents show magistrates found the offence so serious due to previous convictions of a similar nature.

He was also ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £128.
