Police have been dealing with an incident at North Bridge, Halifax
NORTH Bridge in Halifax was closed both ways due to a police incident this afternoon.
Travel monitoring site Inrix said the incident started at around 2.15pm.
The incident was declared over and North Bridge was fully reopened shortly after 4pm.
As a result of the incident, there was congestion to the A59 and the A629 as well as other routes through Halifax, according to Inrix.
First West Yorkshire said its 508, 548, 549 and 576 bus services were also affected.
No further information is available about the nature of the incident at this stage.
