A MAN has been arrested following incidents of criminal damage at McDonald's and Starbucks in Keighley.
Officers were called to three incidents in the last 24 hours, two at the fast-food restaurant on Hard Ings Road and one at the coffee shop on Bingley Street.
A man in his 20s has been arrested in relation to one of the incidents.
"Enhanced high visibility patrols" are being deployed across the Bradford district.
It is understood the attacks were part of a pro-Palestine protest.
McDonald's said it is "deeply concerned" about the "disinformation" about their position on the conflict in the Middle East.
The establishment closed for a full deep clean after the incident and reopened for Drive Thru and McDelivery only at 7am today (Wednesday, November 1).
They say they are working with local police to ensure the safety of "our people and customers".
A spokesperson for McDonald’s Corporation said: “We are dismayed by the disinformation and inaccurate reports regarding our position in response to the conflict in the Middle East.
"McDonald’s Corporation is not funding or supporting any governments involved in this conflict, and any actions from our local Developmental Licensee business partners were made independently without McDonald’s consent or approval.
“Our hearts are with all of the communities and families impacted by this crisis. We abhor violence of any kind and firmly stand against hate speech, and we will always proudly open our doors to everyone.
“We are doing everything we can to ensure the safety of our people in the region while supporting the communities where we operate.”
Chief Inspector Paul Wood, of Bradford District Police, said: “We are aware of videos circulating on social media in relation to the incidents above.
“These incidents are understandably distressing to those locally, but thankfully no one was injured during these incidents.
“Enhanced high visibility patrols are being deployed in the Keighley and wider Bradford area to provide reassurance to the community.
