A BRADFORD freight company has been ordered to pay more than £1,500 for failing to respond to a police request.
Dean Logistics Limited, based in Tong Hall, off Tong Lane, was found guilty of failing to provide police with the identity of a driver who was alleged to have committed an offence earlier this year, according to court records.
The case was heard at Harrogate Magistrates' Court last Tuesday.
It related to a request made at the Traffic Bureau in York by, or on behalf of, the Chief Officer of Police for North Yorkshire, on May 15.
The request was for information from Dean Logistics relating to the identification of the driver of a white Ford Transit van, who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.
A representative for Dean Logistics did not attend court.
The company was ordered by the court to pay £1,510 in total for the offence, including a £1,000 fine.
