PEOPLE have spoken of their sadness after a man was killed in a crash on the outskirts of Bradford city centre.

Emergency services were called to the crash, which happened at the junction of Dryden Street and Buck Street, early this morning, where a Nissan Navara had hit a wall.

The 33-year-old driver died at the scene.

The road has been cordoned off for much of the day while police carry out their enquiries.

"It's really bad news," said one man.

One woman said: "I saw the car this morning. The whole front of the car was smashed in."

She felt said for the family of the victim.

"You can't comprehend what that family must be feeling. It must be catastrophic. I couldn't imagine what they're going through,” she said.

People at a business in the area were speaking about the crash.

One man said: "It's bad news. I can't believe the amount of accidents that happen on that road.

It's very sad. I feel sorry for the family."

Another man said: "It's really sad, the fact that he's died.

"It happened just as I came in this morning," said another man. "Another crash happened in that exact same spot not that long ago."

Last year, Mohammed Azad Khan and Arsalan Khalid Baig, both 24, died in a crash in the same spot.

It happened at around 11.30pm on July 30, when the Audi SQ5 they were travelling in collided with a wall.

Following the crash today, a West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "Enquiries are ongoing after a fatal road traffic collision in Bradford this morning.   

"Police were called at 7.10am to reports a white Nissan Navara had been in collision with a wall on Dryden Street in junction with Buck Street, Bradford.   

"The driver, a 33-year-old, man died at the scene.   

"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of the collision.   

"Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to call police on 101 quoting log 190 of 31/10."
