POLICE officers have launched an investigation after finding a duffle bag full of cannabis.
Officers from Batley and Spen Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) attended a property on Friday (October 27).
The visit followed reports from concerned residents about a strong smell of cannabis in the area.
A male was reportedly seen leaving the address whilst carrying a large duffle bag.
After he left the area, the bag was later recovered and contained a large quantity of cannabis.
The investigation remains ongoing, a spokesperson for Batley and Spen NPT confirmed.
Batley and Spen NPT covers Batley, Birkenshaw, Birstall, Cleckheaton, East Bierley, Gomersal, Heckmondwike, Liversedge and surrounding areas.
Anyone with concerns or suspicions about the supply or the production of illegal substances in their area can contact West Yorkshire Police at any time on 101, or by using the options on the website via www.westyorkshire.police.uk/contactus
