A MAN caught trafficking 57 kilos of cocaine in the Bradford area was warned to expect ‘a very significant sentence of imprisonment.’
Garry Sinclair, 37, of no fixed address, appeared at Bradford Crown Court for sentence for possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.
His case was adjourned until November 17 when he will either be sentenced or a trial of the issue to determine his role in the drugs operation will be fixed.
The court heard that Sinclair was stopped by the police in a vehicle with the cocaine on board following intelligence received.
Recorder Abdul Iqbal KC remanded him back to prison after saying that ‘mature reflection’ was needed on whether to hold a trial of issue.
He gave the Crown until November 10 to inform the court and the defence if they were challenging Sinclair’s assertion that his role in the criminality was not significant.
Recorder Iqbal told him he had pleaded guilty at an early stage and would receive credit for that.
