MORE floral tributes have been left at the scene of a crash where a teenager died. 

West Yorkshire Police's enquiries are continuing following the fatal collision involving a white Seat Ibiza on Brow Lane late on Friday night. 

A 19-year-old man, named locally as Joe Walsh, was killed in the crash and an 18-year-old man was left fighting for his life.

Messages have been left inside the many bunches of flowers paying tribute to the teenager.

One read: "You were such a lovely boy, loved by many. Taken way too soon. Rest in perfect paradise. Forever in our hearts Liv and Shan xx"

Another said: "To Joe, never did I think I would be doing this especially not for you but god only takes the best and you certainly are the the best. I am going to miss raving with you."

"There is a new bright star shining in the sky tonight. Gone too soon. Rest In Peace Joe," another read.

A tribute from Calderdale College said: "Joe was the most kindest, well-mannered, and polite student at college. Always happy and hard working.

"He gave his all every week and had so much enthusiasm for his trade.

"All of us at college will miss him so very much."

A West Yorkshire Police statement issued on Saturday said: "Police are appealing for information following a road traffic collision in Calderdale in which one person died and one person was left critically injured.

"At 11.17pm last night, police were called to reports of a collision on Brow Lane, Shelf.

"A white Seat Ibiza was travelling down Brow Lane, towards Low Bentley, when it collided with a wall.  

"The driver, a 19-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. 

"An 18-year-old man was taken to hospital in a critical condition, thought to be life-threatening at this time.  

"Four other passengers in the vehicle at the time of the collision suffered injuries not believed to be life-threatening. All were taken to hospital for medical treatment."

It added: "Officers are appealing for anyone who was driving in the are or lives in the vicinity of Halifax Road and Brow Lane to check their dashcam or CCTV for any relevant footage that could assist with the investigation.
