READ: Leeds Bradford Airport reopens after being closed for almost a day
LEEDS Bradford Airport is continuing to update passengers on when it will be ready to reopen.
It comes after emergency services scrambled to the airport on Friday afternoon when a Boeing 737 plane veered off the runway.
The drama unfolded amid Storm Babet battering West Yorkshire yesterday.
Leeds Bradford Airport has since confirmed the flight came in from Corfu and 195 passengers were on board.
Nobody was injured following the "runway excursion upon landing".
Earlier this morning, it was hoped the airport would open today (Saturday, October 21) at 10am, this then got pushed back to 11am.
The airport reopened just after noon.
