COMMUNITIES in Bradford and the rest of West Yorkshire face possible flooding and "danger to life" as Storm Babet sweeps through the nation.
A Met Office amber warning of rain is now in force in West Yorkshire until 6am tomorrow.
An amber warning is the second most serious alert to be issued by the weather agency.
A spokesperson for the Met Office said: "Following on from wet weather on Thursday, a further spell of persistent and at times heavy rain will affect parts of southeast Scotland and northern England during Friday, lasting into early Saturday.
"Widely 40 to 60mm of rain is likely to fall.
"Strong easterly winds may exacerbate the impacts of the heavy rain."
According to the Met Office amber warning, residents can expect:

Homes and businesses are likely to be flooded, causing damage to some buildings

Fast flowing or deep floodwater is possible, causing danger to life

A possibility that some communities will be cut off by flooded roads

Delays and some cancellations to train and bus services are likely
