A SENIOR figure at Bradford Royal Infirmary has stepped down.
Dr Max McLean, chair of the board of directors, has decided to leave his position due to "personal reasons", according to a statement from Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
A trust spokesperson said: "Max has been the chair of our board of directors since 2019 and has been the trust chair during some of the most challenging years for the NHS.
"The trust board would like to thank Max for his leadership over the last four years and wish him all the very best for the future.
"Dr McLean would like to thank all of our staff who work incredibly hard to ensure our patients get the best possible care and wishes the trust all the best for the future.
"A big thank you to Dr McLean and best wishes for the future.
"Julie Lawreniuk, deputy chair, will cover the role of the chair in the interim until we recruit to the position."
