THREE new money-saving services have been launched in Bradford to help people in the run up to Christmas.
Bradford District Credit Union (BDCU) is now offering its members a Christmas Consolidation Loan, a Christmas Loan and a Christmas Savers 2024 option.
The first option allows people to consolidate their debts and pay for Christmas with just one loan. Members can borrow between £2,000 to £5,000 from 12.7 per cent APR with up to £1,000 to use fro Christmas.
People can apply for up to £1,000 for Christmas if employed and £500 otherwise as part of the Christmas loan.
In addition the savers option allows members to put money aside each month in readiness for the following Christmas.
BDCU, which was started by Bradford Council in 1993, has around 9,000 members who can use the scheme to save and borrow, safely.
It is an alternative to high street banks and doorstep loan sharks.
