A FUNDRAISER held in memory of a Bradford woman has raised nearly £5,000.
A charity fundraising event in aid of Alzheimer’s Research UK was held at The New Tyke, Bradford.
The event, which featured party games, raffle and a charity auction, was held in memory of Jaswant Kaur, the mother and grandmother of Bradford-born Chinny and Kalvin Singh. To date, £4,500 has been raised.
Kalvin said: "In line with this, I’m also a co-founder of a charity football team, named Craven for Change FC, which has raised more than £10,000 for various charities in the space of 16 months.
"We will be partaking in a charity football match, where more proceeds will be going towards Alzheimer’s Research UK.
"The aim of the fundraiser is to remember my grandmother, Jaswant Kaur, to bring different cultures/communities together and to raise funds for a worthy cause."
