A MAN has been jailed after he stole products worth a combined value of over £500 from a Bradford shopping centre.
Umar Khalil, of Campbell House in Sunbridge Road, committed both thefts at The Broadway recently.
The 37-year-old stole personal care equipment, worth £432.97, from Boots on August 20.
He returned to the centre 19 days later on September 8 to steal mobile phone accessories, valued at £170, in 02.
Khalil was sent to prison for a total custodial period of 16 Weeks.
Court documents say the offences are so serious that "only a custodial sentence can be justified".
They added: "The defendant has a flagrant disregard for court orders."
Khalil's case was heard at Bradford And Keighley Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, September 26.
