A popular foodie spot in West Yorkshire has been named as one of the best places in the UK to enjoy a bit of brunch.
The Shibden Mill Inn in Halifax could be one to try if you’re in the mood for a full English on a Sunday morning or a tasty sandwich for something a bit lighter (plus so much more).
It comes as travel booking site Omio used Tripadvisor data to showcase the locations ranked number one in each city that offer the best brunch, along with details on how close they are by train.
What did Omio say about Shibden Mill Inn in Halifax?
The travel experts at Omio said: “The closest train station to Bradford’s number one brunch spot is Halifax, with the Inn offering vegan options alongside their main menu to cater to all brunch-goers.”
On its website, the Shibden Mill Inn restaurant says: “Our fresh, seasonal dishes use the best locally sourced ingredients that Yorkshire has to offer combined with produce from our own kitchen garden.
“Throughout the seasons, you can dine in our bar area or the Mill Room and in the summer months, chill out in our patio garden.”
You can also relax as you eat brunch surrounded by open fires, low-beamed ceilings and a cosy bar.

On Tripadvisor, Shibden Mill Inn has also been highly praised and has a current rating of 4.5/5 out of 1,072 reviews.
One customer posted: “We booked in for a breakfast after reading some great reviews and we weren’t disappointed! Lovely freshly cooked breakfast and great service.”
Another added: “From breakfast to dinner the food is superb…if I could think of a better word I would.
“You can tell the care and attention that goes into the menu and the execution. As a picky eater I usually can moan about something but not this...”
Someone who returned to the inn for a second time wrote: “Excellent food, great service, pleasant atmosphere. An all round superb experience. It was our second visit to Shibden Mill Inn.
"We went out of our way while on holiday to revisit the venue and stay over. We weren't disappointed! Breakfast was great too.”
