BRADFORD could be hit with a power outage today as Storm Agnes batters the city with strong winds.
Northern Powergrid is 'closely monitoring' the situation with the yellow weather alert, issued by the Met Office.
As part of the warning, the weather forecaster said: "Some power cuts are likely to occur, with the potential to affect other services, such as mobile phone coverage."
The electricity network is currently "operating as normal", Northern Powergrid said, but the company has reassured the public it is "ready and prepared to respond if this weather has any impact".
Support is available to customers via the Northern Powergrid website and by calling the company.
A statement on the Northern Powergrid webiste said: "The Met Office has issued a yellow alert for strong winds across our regions.
"Our electricity network is operating as normal, however, we wanted to reassure you that we are closely monitoring the weather across our operating areas, and our teams are ready and prepared to respond if this weather has any impact on our network."
If you are in a dangerous situation, medically dependant on electricity or require any additional support, households should contact Northern Powergrid directly by calling 105.
A power cut map on the Northern Powergrid website currently holds the latest information, including the number of postcodes affected by a particular power cut and an estimated time of restoration.
