BRADFORD city centre will play host to a thrilling Ice Carnival this Christmas, instead of a huge fireworks display.
For the past two years, thousands have flocked to City Park to see fireworks illuminate the night's sky following the switching on of the Christmas lights in The Broadway.
A whole weekend will be dedicated to the Bradford BID's wintry carnival in Centenary Square in 2023.
The free event is set to take place from 11am on November 18 and 19.
It will feature funfair rides, ice sculptures, street performers, live music and much more.
A Carnival Show is planned for 6pm on the Saturday.
A reindeer parade will also make its way from Kirkgate Shopping Centre to City Park on the Sunday.
