Professor Abigail Harrison Moore, a renowned expert in 19th-century art and energy history, takes the stage at Ilkley Manor House on Friday, September 29, from 10.15am to noon.

A spokesperson said: "This enlightening talk delves into the power shifts of the late 1800s, where women played a pivotal role in shaping energy choices, redefining power dynamics. Explore a world where women led in design and object consumption while witnessing the dawn of gas and electricity."

Visitors can buy tickets for £3 to attend the coffee morning in person. The talk will also be streamed for free on Zoom; reserve your ticket online.

Ilkley Manor House is open on weekends from 11am to 4pm.
