THE owners of a Bradford pub are handing the reins over to Yorkshire-based bar operator Concept Taverns who will breathe a new lease of life into the much-loved venue.
Bingley Brew House, on Main Street, Bingley, is set to open in early October under its new name, Reuben’s Beer and Gin House, following some renovation to the building.
The pub was acquired by the Tomlinson family in 2019, who have been running the Mill Hey Brew House in Haworth for seven years with great success.
The Bingley Brew House was opened as a sister pub to the popular Haworth watering hole with similar ambitions.
The pub’s owner, Neil Tomlinson suddenly and tragically passed away two years ago.
Neil had been the driving force behind the Bingley Brew House, having purchased and carried out the renovations to the venue himself.
The pub has maintained its success, but has felt the passing of Neil.
Concept Taverns currently operates 12 venues across Yorkshire, including the Market Square Tavern in Bingley, and they are looking forward to introducing Reuben’s Beer and Gin House as their latest offering.
They are a Yorkshire-based company, passionate about local products, offering cask ales, craft beer and a vast array of gin.
Their venues are designed by themselves to respect the feel of the existing features, while embracing the appeal of modern styling.
The latest venue to join the Concept Taverns portfolio will take inspiration from Granville’s Beer & Gin House in Horsforth.
Granville’s is named after the grandfather of Concept Taverns’ owners, Matt and Ben Jones.
And it seemed only fitting for Reuben’s, the slightly larger venue of the two, to take its name after their great grandfather.
Victoria Hatton, managing director of Concept Taverns, said: 'We’re very excited to be opening our second venue in Bingley.
"We love the area and look forward to showing a different side to Concept Taverns.
"The previous owner had a fantastic business here and we can’t wait to continue their great work.''
