A NUMBER of vehicles were seized yesterday in an operation involving the police, Bradford Council and the Driving and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA).
In posts on X, formerly Twitter, the Steerside Enforcement Team highlighted a number of vehicle seizures made in the operation.
One Steerside post said that on Great Horton Road a VW Touran with no tax, a Honda CBR with no licence and no insurance and a VW Golf with no insurance were all seized during yesterday's evening operation alongside Bradford West NPT, DVSA Enforcement and Bradford Council.
Another Steerside post said a blue Toyota was stopped during a multi-agency operation off Great Horton Road. An oil leak and rusty bodywork led to a prohibition by DVSA Enforcement. It also had no MOT. The driver was reported.
Another Steerside post noted that a white flatbed truck in the Outer City area of the Bradford West policing area was stopped and found to be uninsured and untaxed. The driver was reported and the vehicle seized.
Steerside also posted that it had seized a black car with no tax since April on Emm Lane. The driver was also reported to the DVLA.
In another post, the Steerside Enforcement Team was on Harrogate Road in the Bradford East policing area when a grey Volkswagen sighted driving with a cracked windscreen. It was stopped and checked for vehicle tax, which had expired. The vehicle was seized under DVLA powers and the driver reported.
The Bradford West NPT also posted: "Another great partnership operation from all involved."
