More than 30 bin bags of rubbish and three tonnes of bulk waste were collected during a clean-up event in Bradford.
The area around Pollard Park and Brookfield Road has been spruced up by residents, Incommunities, and Bradford Council.
People joined forces to pick up litter, remove graffiti and share vital information about recycling.
Volunteer Janet Jones, who has lived on the estate for 39 years, said: “I really appreciate everyone coming out and giving up their time to clean up the area.
"The community clean-up is a great example of people pulling together, I just wish there was more of it.”
There will be three more 'Days of Action', organised by Incommunities, over the next two months.
Israr Mohammed, Incommunities’ neighbourhood housing officer for the area, shared his thanks to all who attended the first clean-up.
The remaining ‘Days of Action’ include Newtown Close, Keighley, between 9am and 3pm on September 6; The Parade, Broadstone Way, between 9am and 1.30pm on September 28; and Nottingham Street car park, Thornbury, from 9.30am on October 5.
Residents who come out to help will be provided with litter pickers, bags, and gloves, Incommunities said.
