Emergency services have attended the scene of a serious incident in Halifax Road, Bradford.
Police and ambulance crews could be seen in the road, near the entrance to Woodside at Meadway, shortly after 3.15pm.
The incident involved a motorcycle, the T&A understands.
Several police cars were on the scene, with officers standing guard, and an ambulance could be seen in the middle of the road.
A number of onlookers also gathered at the scene, which is not far off the Lidl store.
One motorist said the incident had caused "terrible traffic" on Halifax road and other nearby routes.
The AA traffic section said: "Road closed and heavy traffic due to crash on A6036 both ways from The New Furnace Pub to The Prince Of Orange Pub. Detour in operation - For bus services 613, 681 and 508."
Shortly after 4pm, the road was reopened.
