CROWDS flocked to Keighley Show.
Several thousand people descended on the sun-soaked Marley showground for yesterday's event.
There was a wide range of attractions, from traditional agricultural classes to a fun dog show.
"We were delighted with the turnout – there were certainly more people than last year and it was probably a record attendance for recent years," said show society treasurer, Will Twigg.
"Also, entries in the majority of classes were up, as was the number of trade stands – nearly 100.
"It was a brilliant day all round and we received a lot of positive feedback, with some people saying it was their first time at the show and they'd be back next year."
Thanks to support from Keighley Town Council, ticket prices were held at the same level as last year.
There were several new attractions, alongside familiar crowd pleasers.
Making their debut were donkey classes, affiliated to the Donkey Breed Society.
There was an extended number of classes for highland cattle, and the horticulture section featured over 100 classes for novices and experienced gardeners alike.
The cattle and sheep sections this year included a 'farmhouse choice' class, with the winning animals being chosen by a member of the public.
SMJ Falconry brought a selection of its birds of prey, for both static and flying displays. Visitors were able to learn more about the birds, and there were themed games and quizzes for children.
There were around 60 classes in the handicraft, flower arranging, art, photography, baking and produce sections, including some for children.
Other attractions included ever-popular terrier racing, a ferret show and races, and the dog show, plus classes for guinea pigs.
Visitors could view vintage tractors and classic cars.
Equestrian classes ran throughout the day. They included heavy horses, with entries open to shires, Clydesdales, Percheron and Suffolk Punch.
Many local organisations and charities had stalls.
A free vintage bus service was provided by Keighley Bus Museum Trust, which ran regularly between Hanover Street and the showground, via Keighley railway station.
