Bradford's iconic City Hall has been chosen by crews for major TV and film productions over the years.
From Emmerdale and Malpractice to Netflix's Bodies and Peaky Blinders, the Grade I listed building's interior and exterior has been well-used in media.
Now, as the building's 150th anniversary is marked on September 9, we're looking back at the dramas and films shot in and around City Hall.
Many majoy productions have filmed at City Hall - including Official Secrets, National Treasure, Peaky Blinders, Victoria, The Great Train Robbery and Testament of Youth.
If you'd like to explore the historic building for yourself, visitors are invited to attend an open weekend on Saturday, September 9, and Sunday, September 10.
Here's a recap of City Hall's cameo in recent hit shows and films.
1. Coronation Street
There were dramatic scenes in Coronation Street during Gail MacIntyre's trial.
Gail, played by Helen Worth, took the stand in City Hall's Victorian courtroom.
She was facing murder charges following the death of her husband Joe.
She follows in the footsteps of scheming Tracy Barlow, whose trial was also filmed at City Hall in 2007, where she was found guilty of murdering her boyfriend Charlie Stubbs.
The court was last used for dispensing justice in the mid-1970s.
2. Peaky Blinders
Peaky Blinders has been partly filmed in the Bradford district since the first series in 2013.
City Hall’s old cells have appeared in previous series. In 2018, it was chosen again for series five.
City Hall's main entrance and grand staircase were dressed as a hotel foyer, and House of Commons scenes were shot in council chambers.
3. The Duke
The Duke, a 2020 comedy heist film starring Helen Mirren and Jim Broadbent, filmed many scenes in Yorkshire - including City Hall, Cartwright Hall, Little Germany, Cannon Mills, Millennium Square and Hyde Park Picture House.
4. Victoria
Members of the cast could be seen taking a break on the City Hall steps between scenes for ITV period drama Victoria.
Actors from the hit ITV show, including Laurence Fox, were seen in costume in Centenary Square.
The third series of the lavish royal drama Victoria, starring Jenna Coleman and Tom Hughes, introduced new cast members including John Sessions as Prime Minister John Russell and Olivier-award nominee Kate Fleetwood as Victoria’s mysterious sister Feodora.
Laurence Fox played charismatic Foreign Secretary Lord Palmerston.
Starting in 1848, the third instalment entered a turbulent time for Europe and the Monarchy. With revolutions on the continent and the Chartist movement reaching its peak in London, Victoria is under pressure to leave London for her own safety.
5. Official Secrets
Official Secrets had a star-studded cast - including Kiera Knightley, Ralph Fiennes, Matt Smith, Indira Varma and Tamsin Greig.
It tells the true story of British Intelligence whistle-blower Katharine Gun who, during the run-up to the 2003 Iraq invasion, leaked a top secret National Security Agency memo exposing a joint US-UK illegal spying operation against members of the UN Security Council.
It was filmed at City Hall, Keighley and Worth Valley Railway and the former tax office in Shipley.
6. Room at the Top
Room at the Top was partly filmed in Bradford with scenes at City Hall.
Laurence Harvey was in the original film. In 2020, a TV adaptation of the novel, written by Bingley’s John Braine, was also shot at City Hall, starring Maxine Peake.
7. The Syndicate
Scenes for The Syndicate - written by Yorkshire's own Bafta-winning screenwriter Kay Mellor - were shot in City Hall.

The final series centred on a group of kennel workers who think they’ve won the lottery - but all is not as it seems and the young syndicate find themselves on the wealthy French Riviera.
10. Emmerdale
Emmerdale films regularly at City Hall. Pictured above is a scene for the Yorkshire soap being shot outside City Hall in 2017.
City Hall was used as the location was used for the trial of Chastity Spencer in October 2012.
11. Malpractice
In early August, five meeting rooms in City Hall were used for the production of a new medical thriller, Malpractice, about a damaged doctor caught up in a dangerous conspiracy.
Niamh Algar, pictured having her make-up touched up, was spotted on set in Bradford.
The five-part show was filmed at Shipley Town Hall and elsewhere around the Bradford district.
