PEOPLE in Bradford have been given the chance to use a gift card which can be spent only in charity shops.

To mark Second-Hand September, charities The Kirkwood Hospice and Forget Me Not Children's Hospice are helping the people of Bradford and West Yorkshire support their vital work while also shopping more sustainably with The Charity Shop Gift Card.

It is the only nationally accepted, multi-retailer gift card that can be spent exclusively in charity shops.

Shoppers can now buy and spend The Charity Shop Gift Card at the 18 shops run by The Kirkwood, which raise money to provide support to anyone affected by a life-limiting illness in Kirklees from moment they are diagnosed.

It can also be utilised in Forget Me Not Children's Hospice's 14 shops, which raise vital funds to support babies and children with life-shortening conditions and their families across West Yorkshire.

The Charity Shop Gift Card is a not-for-profit gift card scheme that has been developed in partnership with the Charity Retail Association to help local people gift more sustainably, buy more consciously and support good causes like those in Yorkshire.
