A BRADFORD firm has been ordered to pay more than £1,000 for failing to provide police with the identity of a driver who was alleged to have committed an offence.
Ivytencity Ltd, in Valley Road, was found guilty of not complying with a police request on March 2 this year.
The case was heard at Greater Manchester Magistrates' Court last Tuesday.
There was nobody there to represent Ivytencity and the business was proved to be guilty in its absence.
It is in relation to a request made by, or on behalf of, the Chief Officer of Police for Greater Manchester.
The request was for information from Ivytencity relating to the identification of the driver of a black Range Rover Evoque, who was alleged to have been guilty of a road offence in Greater Manchester.
Ivytencity, which had no employees in 2021 or 2022 according to its most recent records on Companies House, was ordered by the court to pay £1,140 in total.
This includes a £750 fine, a £300 surcharge to fund victim services and costs of £90.
The balance must be paid by October 3.
