LATEST NEWS: Woman dies in hospital after being rescued from Bradford reservoir
A WOMAN has been taken to hospital after a rescue operation in Chellow Dene reservoir.
Police received a concern for safety report for a person in the water at Chellow Dene, Allerton, 2.54pm on Friday, August 25.
West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service, West Yorkshire Police and Yorkshire Ambulance Service attended.
A woman was pulled from the water and she is now receiving hospital care.
Enquiries into the incident remain ongoing, a police spokesperson said.
Paramedics with an empty stretcher could be seen heading past emergency vehicles parked up at the Chellow Lane entrance.
One witness reported seeing police vans, police cars, one fire engine, and an ambulance at the scene.
"I've come away as they've cordoned [the] top part of the road off now - blue police tape," the driver said.
The area was cordoned off for just over an hour.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "At 2.54pm today (Friday), police received a concern for safety report for a person in the water at Chellow Dene in Allerton, Bradford.
"Emergency services attended the location and removed the person from the water. It was established to be a woman.
"She has been taken to hospital and enquiries into the incident are ongoing."
