Czajka Care Group has hosted lots of fabulous parties this summer for its residents and teams, as part of its 40th anniversary celebrations.

Parties took place at Brookfield Care Home and Staveley Birkleas Nursing Home, which are both in Nab Wood near Shipley, and Currergate Nursing Home in Steeton. Residents from the retirement communities at Currergate Mews in Steeton and Fairmount Park in Nab Wood, as well as members of The Clubhouse at Fairmount Park also joined in the celebrations.

Konrad Czajka, managing director at Czajka Care Group, said: “2023 is a big year for our family-run care group! I established the company in Saltaire, in 1983 and feel incredibly proud of everything we’ve achieved. With live music, exceptional food, raffles and games, there has been a great party atmosphere and we have really celebrated in style!”

In addition to the 40th anniversary celebrations, residents at all three homes have enjoyed a host of events and activities this summer. At Currergate Nursing Home, residents have loved taking part in several flower ranging sessions, with everyone creating their own bouquets.

At Staveley Birkleas Nursing Home, which is Czajka Care Group’s specialist home for people with disabilities, residents have enjoyed numerous outings, including a fabulous trip to Bridlington and a fun-packed day at Blackpool Zoo. The team also put on a disco and helped the residents make posters to support the Lionesses.

At Brookfield Care Home, which is currently undergoing a major extension and improvements programme so that it can continue building on the level of residential care it provides to 48 residents, there has also been a jam-packed roster of activities and events.

Konrad added: “I am always impressed with the energy and enthusiasm our teams have. They deliver creative and exciting activities and events for our residents, so no two days are ever the same. They listen to what our residents want to do and where they want to go and make sure everything is in place to enable that to happen safely.”
