A MAN has been fined for being drunk while on a plane.
John Nevin, 37, of Camlin Meadows, Townspark, was sentenced for the offence last month.
He faced one charge of entering an aircraft when drunk/being drunk in aircraft, which took place on June 23, 2023.
Court documents state that Nevin, at Leeds Bradford Airport was "drunk in an aircraft, namely a Boeing 737 Ryanair flight 016 from Dublin to Newcastle."
Nevin was fined £300 and ordered to pay a surcharge of £120 and £85 costs, making a total £505 that he must pay. A collection order was made by the court at the sentencing hearing.
Nevin pleaded guilty to the charge and was sentenced at Leeds Magistrates’ Court on July 24, 2023.
