A STOLEN Mercedes van was discovered by West Yorkshire Police following community intelligence.
The vehicle was recovered in the Birstall area yesterday (Thursday, August 10).
The white van was located due to information received from the local community.
Police highlighted the vital role community intelligence plays in their work.
A Facebook post from West Yorkshire Police - Batley and Spen said: "Yesterday (Thursday, August 10) officers from Batley and Spen Neighbourhood Policing Team have located and recovered a stolen Mercedes van from the Birstall area.
"The van was located due to information received from the local community.
"All information is invaluable and critical when establishing areas to patrol.
"Information can be provided via 101 or Online 101 or via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
