ANYONE with information has been urged to contact police after two teenage girls were assaulted after getting off a bus in Bradford.
Police are investigating the incident and said it happened when the girls got off the 682 bus from Halifax on Netherlands Avenue, between 10pm and 10.30pm on Tuesday (August 8).
One of the girls was taken to hospital with a head injury.
Police said the suspect is an unknown male, aged between 40 and 50, of a large build.
Councillor David Green (Lab, Wibsey) urged the community to come together and give police any information they may have on the incident.
He said: "It is horrendous.
"It is not an area that has been particularly noted for violent crime over the years.
"I can fully understand the concerns being expressed by parents about their children's safety.
"It is vital that anyone who has information on this contact the police immediately."
A cordon remained in place in the area for most of Wednesday morning as forensic examination was being carried out.
When the Telegraph & Argus visited the scene at around 8am, a police vehicle could be seen next to the cordon.
Cllr Green said: "I really feel for the parents and the young people affected.
"We need the whole community to give whatever information they can to the authorities to make sure that we can go back to people feeling safe."
