POLICE are investigating reports that two 15-year-old girls were assaulted on a Bradford street after getting off a bus last night.
The incident occurred when the girls got off the 682 bus from Halifax on Netherlands Avenue, Low Moor, at around 10pm on Tuesday.
One of the girls was taken to hospital with a head injury.
Police say the suspect is an unknown male, aged between 40 and 50, of a large build.
A large cordon remains in place in the area this morning as forensic examination is carried out.
A spokesperson from the force said: "Police are appealing for witnesses after two 15-year-old girls were assaulted on Netherlands Avenue, Bradford last night (August 8)
"Both girls had been on the number 682 bus from Halifax when they got off at Halifax Road at the junction of Netherlands Avenue sometime between 10pm and 10.30pm.
"Both have been assaulted by an unknown male.
"One of the 15-year-olds was taken to hospital with a head injury. She has since been discharged from hospital.
"The suspect is described as a male, aged 40-50 years old and large build.
"CCTV enquiries are being carried out and a scene is in place whilst forensic examination takes place.
"Bradford CID are continuing enquiries.
