A BRADFORD man has been fined for being abusive to a ticket inspector.
Ricky Kellett, of Botany Avenue, committed the offence on November 21, 2022.
The rail journey from Frizinghall to Leeds Station would have cost £4.80.
But the 38-year-old didn't have a ticket and said he was running late.
Court documents show he became abusive towards the inspector and said he was a "f***ing w***er", "a f***ing jobsworth", and "taking the p***".
His details were obtained and Kellett was told this would be reported.
The passenger called the officer an "a***hole" whilst walking away through the barrier, the court heard.
Following the incident, two letters requesting an explanation were sent to the defendant. A response from Kellett was later received.
Kellett pleaded guilty to unacceptable behaviour on the railway at Doncaster Justice Centre North on August 3.
He was fined £146 and ordered to pay court costs of £150 and a £58 victim surcharge. The prosecution costs included compensation of his unpaid fare.
