A DRIVER died following a crash on the motorway.
The vehicle struck the central reservation on the M62 westbound between junction 21 and junction 20 yesterday afternoon (Wednesday, August 2).
The driver, a man in his 30s, died at the scene.
The other two passengers, both men, were taken to hospital with injuries.
A spokesperson from Greater Manchester Police said: "At around 2.20pm yesterday (Wednesday, August 2) officers responded to reports of a road traffic collision on the M62 westbound between junction 21 and junction 20.
"A car containing three people was travelling on the westbound carriageway, where it is believed to have struck the central reservation.
"Despite the best efforts of the emergency services, the driver, a man in his 30s, sadly died at the scene.
"One man suffered minor injuries, while another man suffered serious injuries. He currently remains in hospital.
"Officers are now appealing for information as they continue to investigate the collision.
"They are asking for anyone who may have seen something – or who may have dashcam, mobile, or CCTV footage from around the time – to please come forward.
