THE Happy Mondays will help kick-off a four-day Bradford district music festival today.

Shaun Ryder, Bez and co will take to the stage at Bradford and Bingley Rugby Club at 8.30pm as the headline act for day one of the four-day festival.

Also on the bill for today’s curtain-raiser are the Boo Radleys, most famous for their 1995 hit ‘Wake Up Boo!’, who will perform from 7pm.

Shambolics will perform at 6pm and Mr Shiraz will have the honour of being the first act at this year’s festival at 5.15pm.

According to the Met Office, Bingley festivalgoers can expect a mostly dry day today (Thursday) with a slight show forecast at 8pm until 9pm.

The rest of the Bingley Festival will be an equally all-star line-up with Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds headlining the event on Friday night.

Other acts set to take to the Bingley stage up until Sunday night include Travis, Jake Bugg, Kate Nash and former Stone Roses frontman Ian Brown.

Day parking is located at Beckfoot School, Wagon Lane, which is over the road from the main festival site and is easily accessible. Weekend and camping parking will be at Aire View Avenue, Bingley.
