A CAR has been seized after a driver was caught behind the wheel without insurance.
A black Volkswagen vehicle was found after its driver was found to be uninsured by officers from the Windhill Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT).
West Yorkshire Police said the driver is set to receive a fine and points on their licence.
Meanwhile the motorist will be charged a fee to release their seized vehicle.
It is a prosecutable offence to use a motor vehicle on a road without insurance.
Penalties can include a fixed penalty notice and points on your license, a substantial fine, and even a disqualification from driving.
Police have powers to seize and, in appropriate cases, destroy vehicles that have been driven whilst uninsured.
