Anyone who regularly drives along the Stanningley Bypass may have noticed the recent signs warning of road closures and delays.
Works are taking place along the Eastbound A647 Stanningley Bypass until 6am on Monday, August 21.
It means the 24/7 traffic management by Leeds City Council’s Highways department will last for around a month.
The department said the works will require a partial closure of the bypass and some access and slip roads, with local diversions.
A contraflow system between Dawson’s Corner roundabout and Swinnow Bridge will be in operation.
These planned works are part of the Council’s highway annual maintenance programme. It follows work along the Westbound joint and resurfacing programme in 2022.
To minimise potential future disruptions, the Council said it is looking to allow the maintenance of other services - such as street lighting - where it is safe to do so within the traffic management set up.
