IT may only be the start of August, but a Bradford garden centre is already preparing for the busy Christmas season.

Tong Garden Centre has given a sneak peek behind the scenes as it gears up for the festive period.

In a social media post, staff were pictured surrounded by boxes of Christmas goods ready for the shelves at the Tong site.

Stock has started to arrive at its base this summer with staff sorting through all of the items as it gets ready to turn centres into winter wonderlands this Christmas.

A spokesperson posted the update on Tong Garden Centre's Facebook page.

The spokesperson said: “We know it's only July and the Christmas celebrations are months away, but we wanted to show you just how much effort and planning goes into making the magic happen here at Yorkshire Garden Centres.

"Our team have been busy organising our first few deliveries as stock begins to arrive.

“So much thought, creativity and hard work goes into making our centres into Christmas wonderlands and we can't wait to reveal what's in store when the festive season eventually arrives.

“Don’t worry - you won't see Christmas stock out in our centres just yet, but the magic is certainly happening behind the scenes.”

Tong Garden Centre's Christmas displays have become a huge attraction for those looking to enjoy the festive spirit in recent years.

In December 2022, displays at the garden centre were named the best in the North East of England for the sixth time.
