TWO Bradford brothers are looking to expand their convenience store business nationwide after its initial success in the district.

Shahid and Assad Khan started their Super Stop Convenience Store business in 2019 when they opened their first site on Leeds Road in Bradford.

Since then they have opened further sites in Keighley and Middleton in Greater Manchester.

They will welcome customers to their fourth shop, in Hyde, also in Greater Manchester, from Monday, August 7.

This follows the Super Stop co-owners entering a partnership with Transport for Greater Manchester to open sites at bus and train stations in the region. The ambitious brothers are aiming to open four more branches across Lancashire before the end of this year.

The Leeds Road branch is currently closed as it is undergoing a refurbishment to turn it into a 24-hour convenience store, with a drive-thru-style concept.

Customers will enter its car park, staff will take their orders and send them back to the shop via a tablet and their goods will then be handed over to them.

The Super Stop branches, including at Station Bridge in Keighley, sell a host of items including chocolate, sweets, sandwiches, hot drinks, and cigarettes. The business has the tagline ‘everything you can shop, from your Super Stop’.

They also plan to open sites at train and bus stations across northern England and are targeting other areas of the country, including London as part of their ambitious expansion plans.

They're also aiming to open a further branch in Morley in Leeds in the near future.

Shahid, 31, said: “I want to create awareness for us. We started from zero and we now have four shops and will have another four by the end of this year.

“It’s like a chain. We originated in Bradford and then we went to Keighley.

“Me and my brother started this from scratch. We want to create a chain of convenience stores like One-Stop. We’re trying to get something into London too.

“We are targeting good locations, retail parks. Having four shops at the moment has given us good foundations. Hopefully, we will get nationwide franchises out.

“We have got a little bit of everything going on at the moment.”

The existing Super Stop Convenience Store locations are open every Monday to Saturday between 6.30am and 7.30pm and Sundays from 8am to 7pm.
