A PUB in Bradford has made its premises available for two days as busy crews film an advert for betting firm Paddy Power.
The George, on Leeds Road, Idle, has been hosting film crews both yesterday (Tuesday) and today (Wednesday).
"They came in a couple of weeks ago looking at different locations and they came back to us and wanted to use our premises," said Matt Carson, landlord of The George. "It's good to be chosen. It's quite an honour.
"There was even talk of Peter Crouch turning up, but that did not quite materialise.
"Peter Crouch hasn't turned up but I think they're going to film him via green screen," said Mr Carson. "It would have been good to see Crouchy."
"We've kept ourselves out of the way to let them get on with what they need to do.
"It's been interesting to see how it all comes about.
"It's a big set-up. There have been hundreds of people milling about and working.
"For a 30-second advert, I bet this has taken weeks and months of planning.
"You don't realise how much goes into it watching telly. There are a lot of people and there is a lot of equipment on site."
While Paddy Power will wrap up filming at the Idle pub today, Mr Carson said they will be filming on a street in Saltaire tomorrow.
The pub will reopen at 1pm tomorrow, and Mr Carson, who has run The George with his partner Lucy Donnison for seven years, is anticipating punters will be anxious to hear more.
"We've never had anything like this, so our punters will be knocking on the door at 1pm to find out. Everybody will be nosy."
