Heavy rain, flooding and technical issues are among reasons for disruption to several train journeys today, Northern says.
Northern said the railway replacement is in place for several routes following the bad weather.
It comes as the line between Lancaster and Preston is blocked. Train services running through these stations will be cancelled or delayed by up to 45 minutes.
A spokesperson for Northern said: "Due to heavy rain flooding the railway ticket acceptance has been mutually agreed with Avanti West Coast for customers who are experiencing disruption due to this incident."
The 2.42pm Skipton to Bradford Forster Square train, which was due into Bradford at 3.20pm, has been cancelled.
Northern confirmed this train has been cancelled due to a fault on this train. This was classed as severe disruption on the Northern website.
Meanwhile, the 1.44pm Lancaster to Leeds train, due at the latter station at 3.37pm, will no longer call at Keighley, Bingley and Shipley. This is due to overcrowding, Northern confirmed.
