THE owner of a new Indie music bar in Bradford city centre says it feels great to be open.
Rewired welcomed its first customers yesterday (Thursday, July 20) to its spot on North Parade.
Tunes from the likes of Oasis and the Arctic Monkeys will be regularly played at the venue, which will also have an Indie DJ performing every Friday.
Bar owner Nathan Kerridge, who is an electrician by trade, said Rewired had a good opening night with people dancing and enjoying the new venue.
He said: ”I was really nervous for it. I was enjoying myself last night. It was really full.
“We got the keys for this five weeks ago and we have really grafted on it. I’m really chuffed.”
Rewired has replaced Sally Brown's, a ska and northern soul music venue.
The bar, which brought a distinctive bright yellow pop of colour to the street, lasted less than 18 months, closing its doors in March of this year.
Rewired is open every Monday to Thursday between 4pm and 11pm, on Fridays from 2pm to 1am, Saturday from noon to 1am and on Sundays between noon and 6pm.
